At InLigno, we believe buildings should do more than look good — they should be comfortable, efficient, durable and built to last. At the heart of what we do is a genuine love for timber — for its natural beauty and versatility, but also for its potential to create sustainable, high-performing buildings when understood and used well.
Led by Colin Frei, a Swiss Master Carpenter and Certified Passive House Consultant, InLigno combines traditional European craftsmanship, modern building science and practical Australian construction experience. We specialise in high-performance timber construction, with a strong focus on airtightness, thermal performance, moisture management and energy efficiency.
Our expertise ranges from mass timber construction, including Cross-Laminated Timber (CLT) and glulam systems, to timber framing, cladding, custom timber structures, decks, pergolas and residential renovations.
For complex timber projects, a key InLigno advantage is our use of detailed 3D modelling to connect planning, manufacturing, logistics and installation. By coordinating elements from different manufacturers and suppliers within one model, we can resolve details before they reach site, organise procurement and deliveries, plan installation sequences and carry that knowledge through to installation. This helps reduce clashes and delays while creating a more streamlined and predictable construction process.
We work with homeowners, builders, architects and developers across South Australia, from smaller projects to complex structural timber builds, always with the same focus: thoughtful planning, careful detailing, quality craftsmanship and buildings designed to perform for generations.
